"Big Data" still just a hype?

Big data is a great tech buzzword that has created a lot of hype. Some say it is a lousy term and we should drop the "Big" since "Data" has always been a key challenge in BI. But, momentum for big information infrastructure changes is really starting to pick up pace. So, have we finally started to move beyond the just the hype?
